Oconee County Sheriff's Foundation


The Sheriff’s Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. This means any and all contributions are tax deductible. Currently the Sheriff’s Foundation is raising money to help Sheriff’s Office employees further their education, purchase additional canines and fund an annual dinner to recognize achievements and show appreciation of the Sheriff’s Office employees.


Supporting the men and women of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office since 2018.


The Sheriff’s Foundation was formed to support the mission and goals of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and its employees. The Sheriff’s Foundation recently purchased a yellow lab for the department. This yellow lab was named “Thor” by Cam Hendrix, a fifth grade student at Westminster Elementary School, through a contest sponsored by the Sheriff’s Foundation. Thor has been trained as an explosives dog. Oconee County Sheriff’s Office previous explosives dog had retired leaving the department without. As of August 21, 2019 Thor is a sworn deputy with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.
